His background in music and teaching set him up perfectly for a career in real estate, with several notable overlaps. “Being a professional musician is definitely a self-driven career, just like real estate,” Matt says. “You have to be detail-oriented, creative, prepared, and able to execute and perform flawlessly. Just as in music, you get back what you put into real estate. As someone who enjoys working with and educating people, real estate gives me that outlet to make a positive impact in the lives of others while hopefully teaching them and offering a great experience along the way.” Matt was inspired to earn his real estate license after purchasing a home of his own. “I love looking at homes and seeing the different things people do to give them that special touch. After going through my first experience of purchasing a home, I realized that people need someone who is passionate about what they do, communicates openly, and is respectful throughout the whole process. Plus, it gives me the ability to take the skills I have developed as a professor and professional musician and put them into use in another field.”
