Bennion Deville Homes is proud to welcome REALTOR Karen Morris to the Indian Wells office, located at 74-910 Highway 111. Karen earned her real estate license in 2010 and works with buyers, sellers, and investors throughout the Coachella Valley, specializing in the communities of Indian Wells and Rancho Mirage.
Prior to earning her real estate license, Karen worked in corporate sales for 26 years for Scandinavian Airlines where she perfected the art of relationship-oriented client service and discovered her love of helping people achieve their goals. “I genuinely care about my clients and want what is best for them,” Karen says. “I love making people happy, and real estate provides me that opportunity on a daily basis. Seeing the smile on a client’s face after the close of a successful transaction is so much fun, and a big part of why real estate is my calling.”
As a seasoned industry and sales veteran, Karen understands the formula for creating satisfied clients. “Communication is crucial in sales, but especially when it comes to real estate because it is so personal by nature. I consider my clients my partners, and I keep my partners informed at all times. Being open and honest is the best course of action because at the end of it all, the client needs to be happy with the results and it enhances our experience together. Transparency through communication is a big part of developing trust but also producing a successful outcome and exceeding expectations,” Karen adds.
In addition to her penchant for customer service, Karen has a knack for bringing out the best qualities in a property. “I have an eye for potential in homes, which helps my clients whether they are looking to buy or sell a home. I can help a homebuyer visualize the possibilities within a space, and at the same time, help a seller stage and present their home in the best light to homebuyers. My eye for staging and background in marketing help draw in qualified prospects and fetch top dollar for the homes I represent.” In addition, Karen has personal experience with rehabbing properties and exclusive relationships with key contacts in the area, an angle she enjoys exploring with investors looking to breathe new life into a home.
Seeking a brokerage with a wide network and strong connections, including partnerships with Luxury Portfolio and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, Karen decided to make the move to Bennion Deville Homes. “Our marketing materials are so well done and professional. Plus, the exclusive programs agents are offered and the reach of our network help me stand out from the competition,” Karen concludes.
Adds Managing Broker Charlie White, “Karen’s background in the industry, ability to instantly build a rapport with clients, and superior work ethic give her all of the qualities necessary to be successful with Bennion Deville Homes. I would like to welcome Karen on behalf of our Indian Wells family.”

Recently, Bennion Deville Homes celebrated its first year as a brand by holding a birthday party for its agents and staff. Founders Bob Bennion and Bob Deville gave a keynote presentation sharing the positive growth the brokerage experienced over the last 12 months. Following presentations on technology and marketing updates by key staff members, professional motivational magician Lou Serrano performed for the massive crowd, entertaining with comedy, a thought-provoking speech, and of course magic tricks. After the magic show, which involved several members of the audience, a Bennion Deville Homes birthday video debuted, highlighting Bennion Deville Homes agents’ experiences over the course of the last year. To cap off the event, massive cake-sized cupcakes were served, adorned in Bennion Deville Homes blue.
“We had an exceptional turnout from our agents and staff to help us celebrate one year under the Bennion Deville Homes banner,” states Bob Deville. “The energy and buzz surrounding our continued dominance throughout Southern California is real, and you could feel the electricity in the room as we ran through our positive, sustained growth. We would like to thank everyone for attending and sharing in the day, and for making our first year as Bennion Deville Homes the best one in our company’s fifteen-year history.”
Recently, Bennion Deville Homes REALTOR John Moes, based out of the Encinitas office located at 258 North El Camino Real Suite C, represented his brokerage in the North San Diego County Association of REALTORS (NSDCAR) Chili Cook-Off. This spicy soiree was held at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, and featured over 25 chili contest entries, as well as 10 salsa and 8 guacamole entries, for a friendly competition to see who was the best of the bunch.
John’s entry into the competition was his wife’s famous recipe, a sweet and smoky blend that tantalizes the tongue and leaves a savory, satisfying flavor on the palate. John’s best tip for concocting the perfect pot of chili – let it simmer a long time and then cool overnight. “The flavors really come out when reheated.”
“This was such a fun event,” states John. “It felt good to represent Bennion Deville Homes and I had solid support from several Bennion Deville Homes agents and staff members, which made it really fun. We didn’t win, but it was well-worth the effort. We met a lot of new people and shared a few laughs over the course of the evening.”
“John did an excellent job representing us at the NSDCAR Chili Cook-Off,” adds Bob Deville, Co-Founder of Bennion Deville Homes. “We are proud of his efforts, and also of the amount of support he received from his fellow agents and staff. We look forward to cheering him on in future events.”
Bennion Deville Homes proudly welcomes REALTOR Jola Mohan to the Carlsbad office, located at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, Suite 217. Jola earned her real estate license in 2003 and works with buyers and sellers throughout North San Diego County. In addition to holding a real estate license, Jola is also Short Sale Certified.
Jola enjoys combining her strong industry background with her love of helping others to create satisfied clients. “Working with clients is my favorite part of real estate,” Jola states. “I take my role very seriously, and spend as much time as possible explaining the process to alleviate some of the stress buying or selling a home may have. I want to make sure that they are comfortable and ultimately make the best decision possible.”
As an industry veteran with a previous background in service-oriented industries, Jola understands how to provide a high-caliber brand of client service. “My job is to be my client’s advocate and guide them along the way. In order to effectively do this, I need to be in constant communication, and available to them at all times,” Jola continues. In addition to client support and education, Jola utilizes her ability to negotiate contracts and business acumen to work the best deal possible on her clients’ behalf.
Clients enjoy her passion for the real estate industry, highlighted by her desire to continue learning and improving. “Real estate is constantly changing. There is something new to learn literally every day. I love that daily challenge because I can continue to evolve and adapt my business to suit today’s market conditions,” she adds.
Seeking a centrally located brokerage in North County San Diego, Jola interviewed with the Carlsbad office of Bennion Deville Homes. Once she was in the office, she immediately felt at home. “The welcoming culture of the brokerage is appealing. I received welcome emails and greetings from brokers throughout Southern California. That is so rare in this industry. Also, the marketing support is unbelievable and at a level I have not seen at other companies,” Jola concludes.
Adds Managing Broker Joe Wogoman, “Jola’s real estate experience, ability to connect with people, and genuine concern for her clients’ best interests give her the qualities that define an exceptional real estate professional. We are excited to welcome her to our Carlsbad family.”
About Bennion Deville Homes
Bob Bennion and Bob Deville brought their highly acclaimed and successful Bennion Deville Homes blueprint to the coastal Southern California communities of San Diego and Orange counties in 2010. Bennion Deville Homes offices proudly serving San Diego County offices are located in Carlsbad, Carmel Valley, Encinitas, Hillcrest/Mission Hills, La Mesa Village, and Little Italy, with Orange County offices in Laguna Niguel. The powerhouse regional brokerage also proudly serves the Coachella Valley from 16 offices, including locations in Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, and Indio.
The LUXE Collection program lists and showcases some of the finest properties available on the market, maximizing exposure of high-end luxury homes to qualified buyers across a variety of mediums and channels.
Although the Coachella Valley is traditionally a seasonal market, annually experiencing a quieter period as the heat cranks up in the summer months, this year proved otherwise and demonstrates a growing trend toward greater year-round activity. Many notable properties throughout the Coachella Valley, especially in Palm Springs at the west end of the valley, changed hands. Bennion Deville Homes has been instrumental to several of these high-profile addresses switching owners, reinforcing the company’s status as the dominant luxury home experts with a nearly 2 to 1 ratio in closed sales volume over its closest competitor in homes priced at $1 million and above.
Included in the summer sales spree are the Pond Estate (listed by Patrick-Stewart Properties), the former Kirk and Anne Douglas Tennis Estate (listed by Jim Schwietz), and now the world-renowned Bob and Dolores Hope Estate (listed by Patrick-Stewart Properties), which is currently under contract. Bennion Deville Homes REALTOR® Scott Histed also represented the buyers of the Mark Ware Estate in Old Las Palmas, which set the record at the time for highest sales price in Palm Springs at $5.75 million, which has since been surpassed. Other notable homes sold over the summer include the Elrod Estate, the Zanuck Estate, and the former home of Cary Grant. This flurry of activity and high-profile home sales has created an incredibly optimistic view of the real estate market and supports the notion that Palm Springs and the surrounding desert communities are high on the list of desirable destinations.
According to numbers obtained through the MLS, from June through September 15th of this year, there have been 174 transactions of $1 million or higher valley-wide, accounting for closed sales volume of over $341 million. “This increase in activity at the top of the market has also trickled down to other price points, creating a stronger out-of-season market throughout the Coachella Valley and giving hope that the solid year-round sales push will bode well for the impending high season, starting around mid-October,” says Chris Anderson, General Manager of Bennion Deville Homes.
Adds Bob Deville, Co-Founder of Bennion Deville Homes, “We are proud of the summer sales push by all of our agents, highlighted by the sale of several of the finest addresses in the Greater Palm Springs area and headlined by the Bob and Dolores Hope Estate, the crown jewel of the Coachella Valley. This is a historical sales period for our market and I commend our agents and brokers for setting the fervid pace.”
