Barbara Merrill has been coming to the desert since the early 80’s for vacations, & has always enjoyed the desert life style, climate, & the friendly people. In 2000, she bought her home in Indian Ridge Country Club as a weekend retreat, but soon discovered she loved the desert life so much, she made it her full time residence & has totally embraced the desert community by serving on numerous charity organizations such as Gilda’s Club, & Desert Cancer Foundation. She has also been a very active volunteer in numerous Indian Ridge committees/boards such as the architectural, landscape, communication committees, HOA Board of Directors & was even the author & Editor of "Ridge News," an electronic newsletter for all 1,068 homeowners in Indian Ridge. Barbara earned her Master’s degree from Cal Poly with credentials in both mathematics & administration. After graduating with honors, she began her 32 year career in education teaching algebra, & soon became the Chino School District's first Professional Development Specialist whose job was to train & evaluate the entire District in the areas of motivation techniques & effective communication skills. While working in education, Barbara never ignored her passion & love for real estate. For the past 35 years she has continually bought, sold, remodeled, rented & managed her own properties for investment purposes as well as provided loans for spec builders in Big Horn. Barbara says, "I am a bit of a perfectionist, detail oriented, borderline workaholic, & am very service oriented. I get tremendous pleasure out of helping people accomplish their goals. I like to describe myself as The Concierge Realtor of the Desert who promises to provide immediate feedback after all open houses or showings, be accessible 24-7, give continual market updates, provide over-the-top service, & look forward to making life-long friendships with my clients that last way after escrow closes. For buying or selling, I look forward to working with you!
