When I started selling real estate in the Coachella Valley in 2004, I had already been in sales for twenty years. I've worked for two large companies and several mid-sized firms. While I was with Hallmark Cards from 1987 to 1993, I received their top honor for sales, The R. B. Hall Award. Few Hallmarkers ever receive that award and it was the highlight of my years there. Later I achieved top sales honors at Videojet Technologies, a Chicago based computer hardware manufacturer specializing in advanced printing technologies for the food and manufacturing industries. I was with Videojet for 11 years. I love houses and all kinds of architecture. I love consulting with people and working through the issues that make home ownership possible. I love working with independent contractors who, like myself, want to run their own ship and have the satisfaction of doing a complex job that requires a high degree of ethics, logistics and negotiation. All of those qualities were taught to me by the corporations that I worked for over the years. So it was really a matter of finding a product (real estate) that I believed in and a business model that allowed me the freedom to indulge my clients and earn their respect. It's been a great fit.
